1. Who we are
Grabnode is a free web app for downloading publicly available videos, built and operated by Oluwatosin Akinmoju. You can reach us at grabnodetechnologies@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- URLs you submit — sent to our extractor to find download links. We do not store the video itself.
- Optional account data — if you sign up: your email, display name, avatar and saved favourites. You can delete these any time.
- Contact messages — whatever you choose to send us by email or the contact form.
What we do NOT collect
- Payment card details (tips are handled by Gumroad under its own policy).
- Copies of videos, thumbnails or a history of what you downloaded on our servers.
3. Logging practices
- Server logs — IP address, browser user agent, time of request and the submitted URL.
- Why — rate limiting, stopping abuse and bots, and fixing errors. Logs are never used to build profiles.
- How long — rotated out within 30 days, except where needed to investigate abuse or a legal request.
4. Cookies, local storage & analytics
- Essential storage — language preference, your "recent grabs" list and sign-in session are kept in your browser's local storage. Recent grabs never leave your device.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (such as
_ga) to count visits and see which pages work. Data is aggregated. - Advertising — our ad partner (Monetag) may set cookies or use similar technologies when an ad loads after you click a download button, to measure and limit ad frequency.
- Your choices — you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use an ad blocker, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. The downloader keeps working.
5. Third-party services
- Source platforms — download links point to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X or Threads servers, under their own privacy policies.
- Extraction provider — only the submitted URL is forwarded, no personal identifiers.
- Google Analytics & Monetag — analytics and advertising as described above.
- Hosting — the website runs on Lovable Cloud infrastructure.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and NDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Children
Grabnode is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
